His multicultural examination of the power of nonviolence earned him much recognition and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fifit-transitions.org%2Fexperts%2Fchaiwat-satha-anand%2F%23%3A~%3Atext%3DChaiwat%2520Satha-Anand%2520is%2520Distinguished%2CItalian%252C%2520Japanese%252C%2520and%2520Korean.&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cpatrick%40jubitz.org%7C5a83078f8cae4e5d126708dc97a9103c%7Cd02bd955351b49a4a5a7f7937325acfd%7C0%7C0%7C638551999664815251%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=AWfQPUV5AuXiPJHBGTAe4hSM7NDI63%2F5Q0ubNnxu1BA%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many awards<\/a>, including the&nbsp;International El-Hibri Peace Education Prize in Washington, D.C.&nbsp;in&nbsp;2012.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was also the<a href=\"http:\/\/Founder%20and%20Director%20of%20the%20Thai%20Peace%20Information%20Centre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;Founder and Director<\/a>&nbsp;of the Thai Peace Information Centre. His publications were in several languages and were subsequently translated into several more, including&nbsp;Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Korean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From his work with the International Peace Research Association to the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict,Chaiwat Satha-Anand&#8217;s insights and research findings remain highly valuable and informative to generations of peace and nonviolence scholars, students, and activists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the Oregon Peace Institute had the privilege of meeting Chaiwat at peace research conferences across the globe.
