Peace Check Off Fund
Peace Check Off Fund “Rumble”
In the early 1990’s OPI managed to get a Peace Fund checkoff on the Oregon income tax forms. This was part of the concept of a “Peace Dividend” after the end of the cold war. OPI then awarded grants to Oregon peace groups out of this fund. Unfortunately, peace did not last long, and even though the need for a peace fund is greater today than ever, we were unable to maintain enough interest.
Below is a public service announcement for OPI in 1990 about the Peace Check Off Fund.
